LiFePO4 batteries can be safely charged between 0℃ and 45℃. And they have an internal BMS to protect the battery from overcharge and over-discharge.

Charge LiFePO4 Battery In Parallel/In Series

It would be best to charge each battery separately before connecting them. What’s more, we should check the voltage of the batteries and make sure each battery is within 50mV (0.05V) of each other before making the parallel or series connection, which will minimize the occurrence of imbalance between batteries and maximize the performance of the system.

Charging Mode

Constant current charging and constant voltage charging are adopted to charge a LiFePO4 battery. Constant current charging is performed first to raise the battery voltage until it reaches the end-of-charge voltage level. After that, the constant voltage charging begins and the charging current gradually decreases.

Lead-acid battery chargers can be used to charge LiFePO4 batteries as long as the charging settings are within the appropriate parameters. The charging algorithms of AGM and GEL typically meet the charging voltage requirements of LiFePO4 batteries because they have similar nominal voltages to LiFePO4 batteries.
